Dandies Marshmallows Review

The weather this weekend was amazing!! We took full advantage by having a campfire in our backyard Saturday night. It felt so nice to just sit by the fire and relax. We also used the campfire to make s’mores! As with fruits snacks, many marshmallows have gelatin. I was super excited to find these Dandies marshmallows that aren’t made with gelatin a while ago! We always keep these on-hand and my family knows to have them stocked too for when we come over and have campfires. 😉 The bag says that they’re vanilla, but I wouldn’t say they have a vanilla taste. They really are nice and gooey, perfect for s’mores!

Nutrition Facts

As is expected, the sugar is high since they are a sweet treat. The sodium and carbs are pretty comparable to regular marshmallows. One thing I did notice is that these alternative marshmallows are a little higher in calories compared to regular marshmallows. They are gluten-free though, and overall I’m just happy to have an alternative that, as the Company says on the bag, is “kind to our animal friends.”

Cooking

I’m not going to explain how to cook a marshmallow over a fire since I think most people know how to do that. 😂 I wanted to point out though that these marshmallows seem pretty similar to regular marshmallows when you cook them over a fire. I haven’t made rice crispy treats in a long time but definitely plan on trying it out with these marshmallows! I’ll report back. 😉

Stores

I have only found Dandies marshmallows at Whole Foods. Has anyone already used these marshmallows and found them somewhere else?

Seriously, go get yourself a bag of these Dandies marshmallows and make some s’mores! You’ll be glad you did! 😋
