Gardein Classic Meatless Meatballs Review

Ready for this weekend?! I know I am because my husband has off for Memorial Day (he still goes into work every day), so I’m looking forward to the extra time with him! We’ll probably celebrate with a cookout just for ourselves. Anybody else have plans for Memorial weekend?

There are a lot of great alternative options for hot dogs and burgers, but what about meatballs? One option I have found is the Gardein Classic Meatless Meatballs. I haven’t looked yet for another kind because we enjoy these! We’ve made meatball sandwiches, spaghetti and meatballs, and even chopped them up and put them in baked spaghetti. Anybody that knows me knows I hate spaghetti. 😂 When my husband wants spaghetti, I usually just eat the meatballs by themselves, but I actually did eat the baked spaghetti when I made it. As it says on the packaging, they do have a nice blend of herbs which gives it an Italian taste. Even when my husband first had these he said he didn’t really notice that big of a difference between them and real meatballs.

Nutrition Facts

It’s awesome that the serving size is three meatballs, so the calories and fat aren’t very high for that amount. I honestly usually only eat about three meatballs because they’re so filling. The sodium is a little on the higher side but so is the protein! These meatballs don’t have any cholesterol, are low in carbs, and have dietary fiber.

Cooking

These Classic Meatless Meatballs are super easy to make and have two different ways to cook. You can let them brown in a pan for about 15 minutes and then add them to any dish. The other way is to just put them in a pan with sauce, cover them, and cook for about 15 minutes. I’ve made them both ways and they’ve turned out great! 😋

Stores

If you just want a smaller bag to try out, I have found the Gardein Classic Meatless Meatballs at Giant. We recently bought a big bag from BJs to keep on hand. This bag has lasted a lot longer even with making enough for leftovers.

If you want a meatless option for meatballs, definitely give the Gardein Classic Meatless Meatballs a try!
